Devout Muslims in Saudi Arabia and several other countries around the world are celebrating the holy festival of Eid al-Adha today.
After Eid prayers on Wednesday morning May 27 worshippers will sacrifice animals seeking the satisfaction of Allah. In Saudi Arabia pilgrims will also shave their heads after performing the sacrificial rituals during Hajj.

The main Eid congregation in the world’s largest Muslim-majority country Indonesia will be held at the Al-Azhar Mosque. Eid al-Adha celebrations are also taking place in many Western countries.
