US Ready to Strike Iran at Any Time: Trump

US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington is fully prepared to launch another major attack on Iran at any time.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office at the White House on Wednesday (September 2), Trump made the remarks while referring to recent US strikes on Iranian military targets.

Trump said US forces had destroyed far more than Iran’s radar systems in the previous night’s attacks. He added that the United States was fully prepared to carry out another major attack on Iran whenever necessary.

Meanwhile, Trump has proposed renaming the strategically important Strait of Hormuz the “Trump Strait,” claiming that it is now under US control. He made the proposal in a post on Truth Social. The White House later shared an altered map on social media showing the waterway as the “Trump Strait.”

Earlier, Trump had issued an executive order changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.”

Around one-fifth of the world’s oil supply passes through the Strait of Hormuz. The prolonged conflict and soaring oil prices have also put Trump under domestic political pressure ahead of the midterm elections.
