Police say fire in art depicting the face of fascism is mysterious

The much-discussed motif 'Face of Fascism', made for the 'Ananda Shobhajatra', has been burnt down. In addition, a part of the 'Peace Dove' motif has also caught fire.
Dhaka University authorities confirmed the matter to Mirror News. They said they believe the fire broke out in both motifs early this morning.

The fire service said that two of their units were called to the fire at 5:04 am on Saturday and extinguished the fire. The Faculty of Fine Arts said in a statement that a general diary has been filed with Shahbagh Police Station regarding the fire incident. The university authorities have also decided to form an investigation committee

Dhaka University Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed says the police were on the other side. Two members of the proctoral mobile team went to prayer at around 4:50. Before leaving, they told the police to be careful. Proctor Mr. Ahmed believes that this may have been done then. He said that the actual number of guards there would be known after an investigation. But now that there is no time, when asked whether it will be possible to recreate the motif in the meantime, he said, "I doubt it. It will be a bit tough."There is only one more day.
