He said that instructions have been given to make all necessary preparations for the transition from LDC so that no sector is affected. He gave the directive at a high-level review meeting on preparations for LDC transition led by Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday (April 15).
The Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam made these remarks at a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital, quoting the Chief Advisor.
He said that in the review meeting held under the chairmanship of the Chief Advisor, Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Head of the LDC Graduation Expert Committee and Special Government Official of the Ministry of Finance, presented a paper on this issue.The government's advisors at the meeting included Finance Advisor Dr. Salehuddin, Commerce Advisor Bashiruddin, Planning Advisor Wahid Uddin Mahmud, Education Advisor CR Abrar, Environment and Forest Advisor Rizwan Hasan Chowdhury, Adilur Rahman Khan,
Secretaries of various ministries, Special Envoy of the Chief Advisor on Economic Affairs Lutfe Siddiqui, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Board of Investment Ashiq Chowdhury, and Chairman of Bangladesh Bank Ahsan H. Mansur were present.
