Gaza death toll passes 51 Thousands

At least 23 more Palestinians have been killed and more than 50 others injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza, bringing the total death toll to 51,000, Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday (April 16).The media outlet says that at least 23 more people have been killed in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip since early Tuesday, several medical sources told Al Jazeera. In addition, reports of further attacks and casualties continue to come from across the besieged territory.
The Gaza Health Ministry said at least 51,000 Palestinians have been killed and another 116,343 injured since the Israeli invasion of Gaza began 18 months ago. Meanwhile, the Gaza government media office put the Palestinian death toll in Gaza at more than 61,700. It said thousands of people missing under the rubble were presumed dead.
