Peace will not come to Myanmar unless Rohingya issue is resolved: Foreign Affairs Advisor

Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Towhid Hossain said that Bangladesh has strongly informed the United States that peace will not return to Myanmar unless the Rohingya problem is resolved.
The advisor made this statement at a ceremony organized at the Foreign Service Academy on the occasion of Foreign Service Day on Friday (March 18).He said that in discussions with US officials, the Arakan Army is the biggest obstacle in resolving the Rohingya crisis. We have told them that it is not possible to resolve this crisis by avoiding them.
The advisor said that the topic of tariffs came up in discussions with US officials and we said that we are trying to reduce trade barriers.
Towhid Hossain said that the difference between the two sides regarding tariffs is not as much as is being said. Because we import a lot in the service sector.
