Intervention in the Red Sea: At least 15 missing and 4 killed after a cargo ship sank following a Houthi rebel attack. Six crew members were rescued from the Liberian-flagged ship Eternity C, according to the European Union Naval Force.

The Greeks-owned ship was targeted on Monday with an unmanned boat and missiles, claimed by the Houthis, stating the attack was in solidarity with Gaza against Israeli operations.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the ship was headed toward Israel. They released a video showing explosions and urging crew evacuation.

The United States accused the Houthis of kidnapping some surviving crew and demanded their unconditional release. The UK’s Maritime Trade Operations center (UKMTO) reported the ship sustained severe damage and lost propulsion. UK security firm Ambrey confirmed the vessel sank off Yemen’s Hodeidah port.
