At least 90 Palestinians killed in Gaza in a single day

Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have killed at least 93 Palestinians over the past 24 hours, according to medical officials in the enclave. Among the dead are 30 people who were waiting for food aid, Al Jazeera has reported.

Meanwhile, Israel launched a series of attacks on Syria, targeting areas near the Defence Ministry and the presidential palace in the capital Damascus. At least three people were killed and many others injured. Airstrikes were also reported in the city of Suwayda.

Syria’s Foreign Ministry has condemned the attacks, describing them as a “deliberate attempt to fuel unrest and chaos” in the country. It has called on the international community to take note and denounce the aggression.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the ongoing Israeli military offensive has so far killed at least 58,573 people and wounded 139,607 more.

In Israel, 1,139 people were killed during the Hamas-led attack on October 7, and over 200 others were taken captive. Local sources say there is no indication the conflict will end anytime soon. Source: Al Jazeera
