60 Killed in Gaza as Hamas Seeks to End Blockade

On Monday, Israeli forces killed more than 60 Palestinians in Gaza. Among the victims were 11 individuals waiting to receive aid. For the first time, tanks entered the southern and eastern parts of Deir el-Balah. Hamas stated that it is working tirelessly with mediators to end the war and prevent famine.
Philippe Lazzarini, head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), said doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers in Gaza are fainting due to hunger and exhaustion.
Foreign ministers from 25 countries, along with the European Union commissioner, have expressed that the suffering in Gaza has reached new depths and have called for an immediate ceasefire.
Since the attacks on October 7, 2023, at least 59,029 people have been killed and 142,135 injured in the Israeli conflict in Gaza. Meanwhile, in Israel, 1,139 people have been killed and over 200 taken captive in the same attacks.
