Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Touhid Hossain said that the possibility of Rohingya repatriation is still remote due to Myanmar's ongoing civil war, internal divisions in the country, and the continued absence of security and citizenship assurances for the displaced population.
He made these remarks in a seminar titled "Repatriation of Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh: Impact on Regional Security and Future" at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) on Sunday (May 4).Touhid Hossain said, "We have not yet found an effective solution to this crisis. There are two aspects to the return of the Rohingya. One is rights, the other is security. If these issues are not ensured, the Rohingya will not return."
