Government to Publish Complete and Accurate List of Freedom Fighters: PM

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that the government will publish a complete and accurate list of genuine freedom fighters. He made the remarks on Wednesday during the question-and-answer session of the Jatiya Sangsad in response to a supplementary question from Kurigram-1 lawmaker Anwarul Islam.

The Prime Minister said that the process of preparing the freedom fighters’ list had faced various irregularities and challenges at different times in the past. He added that the current government is working with experts to prepare a neutral and comprehensive list to properly identify the country’s genuine freedom fighters.
