Iran Launches Ballistic Missile Attack on U.S. Base in Saudi Arabia, Raising Middle East Tensions

Iran has launched a ballistic missile attack targeting a U.S. military base in Saudi Arabia, marking Tehran's first direct strike on Saudi territory. Analysts warn that the attack could further escalate the ongoing military tensions in the Middle East.

The attack took place on Saturday (July 18).

Immediately after the strike, Saudi Civil Defense issued emergency alerts warning of potential danger in the cities of Al-Kharj and Yanbu. After assessing the situation, however, the authorities announced that the threat had passed and that conditions in the affected areas had returned to normal.

Saudi officials did not provide detailed information regarding the intended target of the attack or the extent of any damage or casualties.
