Two men, identified as Faruk Hossain and Abdul Sheikh, were hacked to death by rivals in Khoksa Upazila of Kushtia, reportedly over a dispute related to local dominance.
The incident occurred on Friday night (July 17) in the brickfield area of Debinagar village under Osmanpur Union.

Officer-in-Charge of Khoksa Police Station, Molla Zakir Hossain, said that a group of armed assailants, allegedly linked to the local Samirul group, launched a surprise attack on Faruk and Abdul Sheikh, leaving them critically injured with machete wounds. They were later declared dead at the hospital.
Another victim, Mulluk Mondol, was injured in the attack and is currently receiving treatment.
Police initially suspect that the killings were linked to drug-related disputes. However, authorities said the exact motive will be determined after a full investigation.
