Ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is gradually declining amid the ongoing exchange of missile, drone, and air strikes between the United States and Iran.
On Thursday, the number of vessels transiting the strategic waterway fell to its lowest level in the past three weeks. According to a report by maritime intelligence firm Kpler, only eight vessels passed through the Strait that day. Of those, seven used routes approved by Iran.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has warned that unless the disruption in the Strait of Hormuz is resolved soon, global energy security could face a serious threat.
