The government has announced the Hajj packages for 2027. The cost of Government Hajj Package-1 has been fixed at BDT 615,263, while the Government Hajj Package-2 (Economy) will cost BDT 505,648. The general private Hajj package has been set at BDT 513,668.

The announcement was made on Tuesday (July 21) at a press briefing held at the Secretariat by Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaykobad).

Under Government Package-1, pilgrims will be accommodated in Makkah within 1,000 to 1,400 meters of the outer courtyard of the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram), while accommodation in Madinah will be in the Markaziya area. Pilgrims will stay in Zone 7 tents in Mina and receive Service Package-3 facilities.

The Government Package-2 (Economy), costing BDT 505,648, provides accommodation in Makkah 2 to 3 kilometers from Masjid al-Haram and outside the Markaziya area in Madinah. Pilgrims will stay in Zone 5 tents in Mina and receive services under Service Package-3.

The general private Hajj package has been fixed at BDT 513,668.

The minister said that while there were four service packages (A, B, C, and D) for Mina and Arafat in 2026, the number has been reduced to three for 2027 by eliminating Package D. In addition, the board category has been made mandatory to improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims.

He also stated that, under the initiative of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the Hajj airfare has been reduced by BDT 24,830 compared with last year, bringing the fare down to BDT 130,000. According to him, the airfare was approximately BDT 200,000 in 2023 and BDT 167,820 in 2025, making this year's reduction significant.

The deadline for Hajj registration is September 24, 2026. Pilgrims can register through the e-Hajj system by selecting a package, paying an initial deposit of BDT 30,000 for preliminary registration, and then paying the remaining amount to complete the final registration.

According to the tentative schedule, Hajj flights are expected to begin on April 8, 2027, and the Hajj pilgrimage is expected to take place on May 15, 2027.
