Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi Detained During Protest in Delhi Demanding Narendra Modi's Resignation

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with several senior party members, were detained by Delhi Police during a protest demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resignation and accountability from the central government. The demonstration was organized in response to the police's strict handling of recent student protests.

The leaders were detained in New Delhi on Tuesday (21 July).

According to Indian media reports, the incident has further heightened political tensions in the capital. Congress leaders alleged that the police used unnecessary force against what they described as a peaceful demonstration. Delhi Police, however, said the action was taken to maintain law and order.
