Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has put forward five demands to the central government over the controversy surrounding the alleged NEET question paper leak. His demands include the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and another Union minister, justice for students who were allegedly subjected to repression, a public apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the government's handling of the issue, and comprehensive reforms to India's education system.

Rahul Gandhi also announced that the opposition would continue to raise the issue in Parliament on Wednesday (July 22).

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and several Congress leaders were detained by Delhi Police while participating in a protest outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official residence at Lok Kalyan Marg. They were later released.

Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi visited the police station, after which Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were released on Monday (July 21).
