Severe Gas Shortage Disrupts Daily Life

A mechanical fault has occurred at the country's only floating LNG terminal in Maheshkhali, causing a major disruption in gas supply to the national grid. As a result, a severe gas shortage has left households and CNG filling stations facing significant difficulties, causing widespread public suffering.

The situation has affected various areas of the capital since Thursday (July 23) morning.

However, Titas Gas stated that the disruption is temporary and was caused by a technical fault at the Maheshkhali LNG terminal. The company added that repair work is underway and the issue is expected to be resolved as quickly as possible.
