Government will overcome all challenges to move the country forward: Prime Minister

The government is committed to overcoming all challenges and moving the country forward, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said. He also expressed optimism about building a self-reliant and technology-driven Bangladesh.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the two-day National Semiconductor Symposium and BEAR Summit at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Saturday (July 25), the Prime Minister said the government has already begun implementing comprehensive plans to create a business-friendly environment for the semiconductor industry.

He said the government is working continuously to ensure investment-friendly policies, tax incentives, bonded warehouse facilities, and specialized infrastructure to attract investment and support the sector's growth.

The summit, jointly organized by the Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA) and Silicon River Bangladesh, brings together policymakers, industry representatives, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and Bangladeshi experts from abroad.

Over the two-day event, participants will take part in 11 plenary sessions, seven strategic panel discussions, and a technology exhibition.
