According to the actress, differences in opinion are natural, but intimidation, harassment and threats of violence can never be justified.

Bhumi also noted that, as a woman and a public figure, she has personally experienced online trolling and harassment. She said such incidents can have long-lasting effects on a person’s mental health. Concluding her message, she urged people to respect differing views and express opinions in a peaceful and respectful manner.

However, the video has failed to end the criticism. A section of social media users believes the actress released the statement to repair her public image following recent backlash.
