Mojtaba Khamenei Calls US and Israel ‘Eternal Enemies’ of Muslims

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has called on Muslim-majority countries to unite against what he described as the “real enemy.” He accused the United States and Israel of trying to create divisions among Muslim nations and referred to them as “eternal enemies” of Muslim unity and solidarity.

He made the remarks in a statement reported by Qatar-based Al Jazeera on Sunday (August 30).

Khamenei alleged that the US and Israel exploit ethnic, cultural, social, economic, political and geographical differences among Muslim countries to create divisions. He said they are waiting for the Muslim world to become weaker so they can expand their influence and dominance in the region.

He also urged Muslim countries to avoid activities that could deepen divisions among Muslims. Referring to the situation in Palestine, he questioned whether Palestinians would have faced such suffering if Muslim countries had remained united.

Addressing Muslim leaders, Khamenei called for identifying their “real enemy,” understanding its plans and standing together against it.

According to Khamenei, the alleged hostility is not limited to Iran or the Iranian people but extends to the wider Muslim world, including the Middle East and North Africa.
