There is no form of militancy in Bangladesh at present: Home Affairs Advisor

Home Affairs and Agriculture Advisor Lieutenant General (retd) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that there is currently no militancy in Bangladesh.
The advisor made this statement while briefing reporters after visiting the Export Cargo Village at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital and the cold storage facility of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation located there on Sunday (July 6) morning.
The advisor said, "With the cooperation of everyone, it has been possible to eradicate militancy. In this regard, everyone concerned, including the media and law enforcement agencies, has an important role to play." Raising questions from journalists, the advisor said, "What information have you been able to provide on militancy in the last 10 months?"
They gave when they had it. Now they don't, so they can't give it. There is no militancy of any kind in Bangladesh at present.On the issue of Bangladeshis being tagged as terrorists in Malaysia, the advisor said that none of the three people who were sent to the country are terrorists. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a press release regarding this. The three were sent back mainly because their visas had expired.

He said, "The five people the Malaysian police chief spoke about have not come to the country. We are trying to contact them at the official level. We will investigate. However, they have no involvement in Bangladesh." Regarding the visit to the Export Cargo Village, the Home and Agriculture Advisor said, "Vegetables, fruits, etc. are exported from here to foreign countries at the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture. The purpose of visiting the Cargo Village is to see the export process."
He said, "As you know, a few days ago, we had some problems exporting fruits and vegetables due to the agitation of NBR officials and employees." At that time, many of our businessmen faced some losses. The advisor said that since the export volume of our country has increased a lot, plans are being made to further expand the cold storage facility here.Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said, "The big good news for us is that our new export terminal is being built - if any goods/products cannot be taken on a plane even after being scanned, these goods can be immediately stored in cold storage."
The advisor said that currently, if a plane is overloaded, therHe said, "We don't want to be limited to just one or two products. We are thinking about how to export different types of products."
He is no cold storage to store the goods that need to be stored. But this opportunity will be available in the new terminal.
